Vladan Vasić i Dragan Kostić na Samitu mobilnosti “Movin’on sumit 2019.” u Montrealu

Delegacija Pirota predvodjena gradonačelnikom Vladanom Vasićem učestvuje u radu Movin’on Samita koji se od 4. do 6. juna 2019. godine održava u Montrealu u Kanadi. Generalni sponzor Samita je kompanija Mišelin a jedna od ključnih tema samita je mobilnost i unapredjenje transporta. Kroz veliki broj panela, radionica i B2B sastanaka, preko 5.000 učesnika iz celog sveta  razgovaraju o ovim važnim temama. Samit predstavlja i naučno vidjenje budućnosti transporta i predlaže nove metode i vidove smanjenja zagadjenja u transportu uz ubrzavanje protoka robe i skraćenje vremena isporuke.
Na  marginama Samita planiran je  sastanak mreže Michelinovih gradova na kome će učestvovati gradonačelnik Vasić, a na poziv Oliviera Bianchia, gradonačelnika  Klermonferana .

Na otvaranju skupa govorio je i novi CEO Michelina, Florent Menegaux, koji je istakao da će u roku od dvadeset godina u svetu biti dve milijarde vozila, i  poručio da je mobilnost, a manje uticaja na sredinu, cilj svih.

Forbs  je  ovaj Samit nazvao Davos mobilnosti.  Ovo  najveći godisnji dogadjaj vezan za mobilnost i prateće industrije u svetu. Na marginama   ovog  dogadjaja ,  održan  je  Samit Mishelinovih gradova.
U delegaciju Pirota, pored  gradonačelnika Vasića, i  šefa Kabineta, Aleksandra Ćirića, su i predstavnici Slobodne zone Pirot, Dragan Kostić, izvršni direktor Zone, i Aleksandar Simonović, pomoćnik direktora. Slobodna zona Pirot je Mišelinov strateški partner u razvoju logistike u regionu Jugoistočne Evrope.

Oliviera Bianki , gradonačelnik  Klermonferana  u izjavi za pirotske medije govorio je o saradnji izmedju Mišelin gradova i o njihovoj podršci Mišlenu svuda u svetu.

  –  Treba iskoristiti ovu priliku, kada se okupljaju gradovi svake druge godine da bi nastavili  saradnju. Imali smo prilike da se sastanemo sa delegacijom Pirota u Španiji pre nekoliko meseca i ovde smo imali sastanke i nastavili da učvršćujemo našu saradnju.

Oliviera Bianchi   najavio je skori dolazak  u Pirot.
  –   Nadam se uskoro. Ali možda će Pirot biti jednog dana grad domaćin ovoj mreži Michelinovih gradova. Ja mu to od srca želim.

The 2019 Movin’On Summit has finally arrived!

For the next three days, more than 5,000 leaders from academia, politics and business will move beyond ambition to action, exploring the challenges, opportunities and cutting-edge solutions required to lead the way forward on issues of sustainable mobility. And there’s no doubt that the impressive collective brainpower assembled at this year’s edition of the Movin’On Summit is up to the task.

Open for business

In his first official appearance since being named CEO of MichelinFlorent Menegaux kicked off the Movin’On Summit’s opening ceremonies with a little help from Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante. Both are confident that the future of sustainable mobility is bright, with many possibilities on the horizon. “Sustainable mobility in the service of people and their environment is a tremendous tool for development,” said Mr. Menegaux.

A promise from “La Mairesse”

Mayor Plante wanted all of the out-of-town visitors to know that one of her main priorities was improved sustainable mobility. “It will get better every year, every time you visit Montreal,” she said. “For me, it is a personal matter.”

Big news from Michelin

Steve KiefferSVP of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain for General Motors, discussed his company’s partnership with Michelin after the unveiling.

At their noon press conference, Michelin unveiled their newest breakthrough in mobility: a revolutionary prototype tire called the Uptis. The result of ten years of research and new, hi-tech materials, these puncture-proof tires are airless, connected, 3D-printable and 100% sustainable, helping to serve Michelin’s customers and the planet.
